The price of regular was moving toward the $2.90 mark, but on Thursday stations raised the price by an average of four cents.

According to the Energy Information Administration, demand for gasoline has fallen to a four-month low, contributing to the continued decline in the price at the pump.
With the third quarter of 2025 ending in higher gasoline inventories and the seasonal transition from summer-grade to winter-grade fuel, consumers are likely to see even lower prices at the pump in the coming weeks, AAA reported.
Additionally, the price of crude oil dropped below $59 a barrel after the stock market tumbled over news that President Donald Trump was upset with China's move on rare earth minerals and later threatened using high tariffs.
OPEC+ producers have also increased production, putting further downward pressure on crude prices.
Low crude oll prices have already prompted big oil companies to lay off thousands of workers.
Battery-electric vehicle owners are seeing steady public charging prices, with Delaware having the nation's sixth lowest kilowatt hour rates among the 50 states.
Delaware's 32-cent-per-kilowatt-hour public charging rate stands in sharp contrast to West Virginia, which has an average rate of 53 cents.
Drivers can find current gas and electric charging prices along their route using the AAA TripTik Travel planner.
